Overview

This policy explains what data the Haven Bean Helper Discord bot and dashboard (“Service”) collect, how it’s used, and your choices.

Data We Collect

• Discord server data: Guild ID, channel IDs, role IDs, message IDs for bot posts, scheduled event IDs, and your per-guild configuration.
• Twitch data: Public usernames/IDs and public stream metadata (titles, categories, thumbnails, offline banners).
• Dashboard login: Discord OAuth2 basic info (user ID; we avoid storing tokens longer than needed for the session).
• Cookies: A session cookie for dashboard authentication (no advertising cookies).
• Logs: Basic server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps, request URLs) for security and diagnostics.

We do not read or store general message content beyond what is necessary to respond to commands or manage our own messages/events.

How We Use Data

• Operate core features: post live alerts/clips, create/clean up scheduled events, and apply your configuration.
• Secure and maintain the Service: rate limiting, abuse prevention, debugging, and reliability.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

• Legitimate interests (to provide and improve the Service and ensure security).
• Contract (when you configure and use the bot/dashboard as described in the Terms).
• Consent (dashboard session cookie).

Retention

• Guild configurations persist while the bot remains in your server.
• If the bot is removed, related configs may be deleted within a reasonable period (up to 30 days).
• Logs are kept short-term for security and troubleshooting, then rotated or deleted.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• Service providers/hosting used to run the dashboard and database, under confidentiality and data processing terms.
• Legal authorities when required by law.

International Transfers

If data is processed outside your region, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) where applicable.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (access controls, least-privilege, log review). No system is 100% secure.

Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., EEA/UK), you may have rights to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Data portability (where technically feasible).
• Withdraw consent (for cookie-based sessions) without affecting prior processing.

Requests: email support@cathienova.net. Server owners can also remove the bot to stop future collection.

Children

The Service follows Discord’s minimum age requirements and is not directed to children under those ages.

Third Parties

We interact with Discord and Twitch. Their terms and privacy notices govern their handling of data. Haven Bean Helper is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord or Twitch.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted by updating the date above; continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
